DM orders imposition of Section 144 till November 5 in Lucknow

Lucknow, 07 September: District Magistrate (DM) Abhishek Prakash issued instructions to implement Section 144 in the capital from Tuesday evening till November 5.

Due to the imposition of Section 144 in Lucknow, five or more than five people will not be allowed to gather at one place. For any procession, gherao, demonstration and rally, prior permission of the magistrate has to be taken.

The DM said that in Lucknow rural area, no person shall put up any kind of religious flags, banners, posters etc. on the premises or premises of private, organization, institution, trust without the written permission of the owner or the custodian. Nor will anyone assist in this work.

He said that the owner or manager of all hotels, dharamshalas, and guest houses within the limits of rural areas of Lucknow would require passport, ration card, voter ID, PAN card, driving license and other reliable certificates as ID proof from any person and will arrange to stay only by keeping the copy. Along with this, the protocols of Covid will also be fully followed.

He said that in the examinations of Union Public Service Commission, Public Service Commission, Subordinate Services Selection Commission or other commissions and related departments, to be held at the examination centers in Lucknow, the Armed Police Forces and Armed Police Forces have been deployed to check anti-social elements and outsiders involved in copying. STF will be deployed at the most sensitive examination centers.

He made it clear that contravention of this order or any part of this order will result in an offense punishable under section 188 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
