Disha rape and murder: All four accused killed in ‘encounter’

Hyderabad, 06 December: The four accused of Disha Rape and murder case of Hyderabad, who shook the country, were killed while escaping from custody in the wee hours today. The police took them to the crime scene to recreate the scene. At the same time these four accused tried to escape, as a result the police had to shoot, in which they were killed.

V.C. Sajjanar, Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad has confirmed the killing of all four accused and has reached the spot.

It is being told that the police took the four accused around 3.30 am today on National Highway 44 near Shadnagar to conduct a crime scene at the scene (Chattapalli Bridge) and ask them to recite the scene. During that time, the accused tried to escape. The police tried to stop them in their own way but when the police felt that they would not be able to control them in the normal way, the police fired at them, killing all the four accused. At present, they were in seven days of police custody. Police has removed all the dead bodies from the spot so that there is no ruckus.

It is worth mentioning that on November 28, the dead body of 22-year-old female doctor Disha was found in Shadnagar area near National Highway 44. After raping her on the night of 27 November, an attempt was made to burn the body. In this case, the police arrested four people Mohammad Arif Pasha, Jolu Siva, Jolu Naveen and Chennakeshavulu. The court sent him to police custody for a week. There was a boil all over the country after this henious crime and there was a demand for hanging all four. In his response, Disha’s father and sister expressed satisfaction on the police action and congratulated the police team. He said that his daughter  got justice after 10 days.

Swati Maliwal ends her hunger strike

On the other hand, people were agitating in different parts of the country against the direction of rape and murder. Delhi Women Commission chairperson Swati Maliwal was also on fast unto death for the last three days. This morning, after receiving information about the police killing of the four accused of Disha Rape and murder case, she ended the fast unto death. She also expressed satisfaction over the police action.
