Diamond merchant from Gujarat donates Rs 11 crore for Ram Mandir construction

Surat / Ahmedabad, 15 January: Fundraising campaign has kicked off across the country for construction of ‘Bhavya’ Ram temple in Ayodhya. In this sequence, today, a diamond merchant from Surat, Govindbhai Dholkiya, donated Rs 11 crore for the construction of the Ram temple.

Not only Govindbhai Dholkiya from Gujarat but Mahesh Kabutarawala of Surat has donated Rs 5 crore and Loveji Badshah has donated Rs 1 crore.

In addition, many traders in Gujarat donated between Rs 5 lakh and Rs 21 lakh.

Bharathan Janata Party’s Gordhan Zadaphia and Treasurer Surendra Patel also donated Rs 5 lakh.

Govindbhai is a prominent diamond trader from Surat, Gujarat. He is the owner of Ramakrishna Diamond and has been associated with the RSS for years. He has been actively involved since 1992. Today he made a big donation for the Ram temple.

In Ahmedabad too, activists of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Vishwa Hindu Parishad collected huge funds from 14 places including 17 lakh in Naroda, Ahmedabad, 11 lakh in Sabarmati, 4.5 lakh in Chandlodia.
