Despite softening of prices of crude oil in the International market, petrol and diesel price rise again

New Delhi, Sep 30 : The prices of petrol and diesel were again increased on Monday. Oil marketing companies have again raised the prices of petrol and diesel after a break of two days. Petrol has become Rs 74.42 per liter in the national capital of Delhi and diesel has started selling at Rs 67.33 per liter. After the attack on Saudi Aramco, there has been a softening of crude oil in the international market due to improvement in the supply of oil. Brent crude is around $ 61 a barrel.

Petrol became costlier by 8 paise per liter in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai on Monday. At the same time, the price of diesel was increased by 9 paise in Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai, while in Chennai, 10 paise per liter was recorded. According to the website of Indian Oil, petrol prices in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai have increased to Rs 74.42, Rs 77.10, Rs 80.08 and Rs 77.36 per liter respectively.

Diesel prices in the four metros have also increased to Rs 67.33, Rs 69.75, Rs 70.64 and Rs 71.19 per liter respectively. In this month, the price of petrol has increased by more than two rupees per liter and the price of diesel has also increased by about two rupees per liter.

Petrol in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai was Rs 72.01, Rs 74.71, Rs 77.67 and Rs 74.80 per liter respectively on August 31. Diesel in the four metros was Rs 65.25, Rs 67.63, Rs 68.41 and Rs 68.94 per liter respectively.

Petrol in the Uttar Pradesh’s capital Lucknow has also increased. Petrol has become 75.71 per liter whereas the price of Diesel has as well increased by 9 paise per liter resulting in the price of diesel is of now 67.52 per liter in Lucknow.
