Crime: Hairstylist Jawed Habib booked under Epidemic Act over spitting on head

Muzaffarnagar, 07 January: A famous hairstylist Jawed Habib troubles have increased after a case was registered against him. Hindu outfits are adamant on arrest and have warned of agitation on Friday if arrest is not made.

Significantly, after the video of famous hairstylist Jawed Habib went viral on social media, a First Information Report (FIR) has been lodged against him. In this video, he was seen biting a woman by spitting in her hair, after which the National Commission for Women has raised its eyebrows. A case has been registered at Mansoorpur police station on the complaint of female beautician. This case has been registered under sections related to Epidemic Act.

However, Javed Habib has apologized after the video went viral. While sharing the video on Instagram, Javed Habib said that โ€œI sincerely apologizeโ€.

The National Commission for Women has written a letter to Delhi Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana seeking action in connection with the viral video of hairstylist Javed Habib.

In this case, a notice will be sent to hairstylist Jawed Habib on behalf of the Women’s Commission.

Police said that on the complaint of Pooja Gupta, a resident of Baraut town, an FIR has been registered at Mansoorpur police station here. He said Habib has been booked under section 355 (assault or criminal force with intent to insult any person, otherwise grievous provocation) of the Indian Penal Code and Epidemic Diseases Act, 1897.

Meanwhile, Hindu activists protested against Habib. They demanded action against the hair stylist.

Hindu organizations demand Javed Habib’s arrest, otherwise there will be agitation.
