New Delhi 14 November: A heart-wrenching incident has come to light in Mehrauli area of โโSouth Delhi. Actually, a person named Aftab came to Delhi 1500 km from Mumbai and brutally murdered his live-in partner Shraddha (26). Not only this, the accused made several pieces of the body and threw it in different areas of Delhi and disposed the body.
Meanwhile, the police have arrested Aftab Amin Poonawalla, the accused after five months, solving the mystery of this murder.
The police are now looking for those pieces of deceased Shraddha’s body through Aftab, which were thrown at different places by the accused after committing the murder. It has also come to the fore in the investigation that the accused used to leave the flat every day at 2:00 pm to throw those pieces. He had bought a 300 liter freezer to keep those pieces in the fridge.
Additional DCP Ankit Chauhan said on Monday that Shraddha’s father Vikas Madan Walker (59) lodged an FIR in Delhi’s Mehrauli police station for kidnapping his daughter in the month of November. Shraddha’s father alleged that his daughter used to work in a call center in Mumbai, where she met a man named Aftab and their friendship turned into a very close relationship. Both started liking each other but the family members were not happy with this, due to which they opposed it. On the complaint of Shraddha’s father, a case was registered and investigation started.
Police started searching for Aftab with the help of informer and technical surveillance, after which Aftab was nabbed on the basis of a secret information. During the interrogation of the police, the accused told that Shraddha was constantly pressurizing him for marriage, due to which there was frequent quarrel between them. Tired of these things, he brutally killed her in the month of May and threw the dead body into pieces at different places in the forest. The accused Aftab has been arrested by the police and he is being interrogated.
He told that there was a fight between the accused Aftab and Shraddha on May 18. During the fight, Shraddha was screaming, the people of the neighborhood could not hear her voice, for this the accused Aftab suppressed Shraddha’s mouth and during this time Shraddha died. Aftab panicked seeing Shraddha dead, after which Aftab thought of disposing of Shraddha’s body and cut about 35 pieces of Shraddha’s body with a saw. The accused Aftab threw the pieces of Shraddha’s body one by one in the forests of Mehrauli for 18 days.
The accused was so clever that the pieces of Shraddha’s body did not smell for 18 days, for this he bought a big refrigerator of 300 liters from the market and kept the pieces of Shraddha’s body in that fridge.
At present, the accused has been arrested in this entire case and he is being interrogated continuously. At the same place, where he cut the dead body and threw it into pieces, the police is also investigating there.
