Lucknow, December 16 (HS): Before the fourth T20 match against South Africa, Team India players spent some relaxing time in Lucknow. The Indian cricket team players visited Phoenix Palassio Mall on Monday night and watched the Ranveer Singh-starrer ‘Dhurandhar’.
Team India captain Suryakumar Yadav, Shubman Gill, and Abhishek Sharma were the first to arrive at the mall. Following this, head coach Gautam Gambhir, along with other players and support staff, arrived. All the players watched the 10:30 pm show. The mall is located near the Ekana Cricket Stadium.
The fourth match of the T20 series between India and South Africa is to be played at Lucknow’s Ekana Stadium on Wednesday. The Indian team currently leads the five-match series 2-1. Earlier on Monday evening, both teams arrived in Lucknow from Dharamshala. The players received a warm welcome at Amausi Airport. Hardik Pandya waved to fans, while captain Suryakumar Yadav, sporting sunglasses, expressed his joy upon arriving in Lucknow.
Shubman Gill appeared relaxed, while Sanju Samson and Tilak Varma were seen chatting with each other. Both teams are staying at a prominent hotel in the city amid tight security. Before the players arrived, the hotel premises were thoroughly checked by dog โโsquads and bomb squads.
Meanwhile, cricket fans in the city are highly excited about the match. Team India’s optional practice session is scheduled for 5 p.m. at the Ekana Stadium. A press conference will also be held during this time, while the South African team will practice at 1:30 p.m. Tickets for the match are available, ranging from โน500 to โน25,000, and can be purchased online and at the stadium counter.
