Lucknow, December 16: A 16-year-old boy has committed suicide by hanging himself on Tuesday in Jankipuram Sector-C in the Vikas Nagar police station area, informed police.
Police arrived at the scene after receiving information and began investigating the case,
Vikasnagar police station in-charge Alok Kumar Singh said on Tuesday that Aryan Jaiswal (16), son of Mahendra Pratap Jaiswal, a resident of Jankipuram Sector-C, was a Class 9 student. According to family members, the teenager had gone to sleep in his room on the upper floor of the house on Monday night. When family members went to wake him on Tuesday morning, Aryan’s body was hanging from a rope tied to a hook in the ceiling of the room.
Police arrived on the tip, took the body into custody and questioned the family about the incident, but could not obtain any information. Police prepared a Panchnama (inquest report) in the presence of family members and sent the body for post-mortem.
The police station in-charge says that necessary legal action is being taken keeping all aspects in mind.
