Covid-19 3rd wave: Yogi orders 3 to 4 lakh corona testing each day amid surge in cases

Lucknow, 06 January: To keep the people of the state safe from the grip of coronavirus transmission in the state, the state government has taken a front at the ground level. As per the orders of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the speed of testing and immunization is being ramped up rapidly in Uttar Pradesh. As a result, more than nine crore 39 lakh tests and more than 20 crore 69 lakh adults have been vaccinated so far in the state.

So far, over seven lakh vaccinations have been done in UP in the inoculation campaign of 15 to 18 year old children which started from January 3.

The Yogi government, which has equipped Uttar Pradesh with health facilities during the Corona period, has increased the number of oxygen plants, beds, doctors and employees, hospitals, ventilators. Due to this, UP is fully capable of fighting the third wave.

In view of the soaring cases of Covid-19 in the state, the nodal officers deployed are keeping a direct watch on every situation. The Chief Minister has given instructions to the officers to conduct a minimum of three to four lakh tests every day.

Instructions to accelerate genome sequencing

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given instructions to expand the genome sequencing facility in KGMU, RML and SGPGI Lucknow.

The Chief Minister has ordered the officers to increase the arrangement of necessary machines and human resources for genome sequencing. Explain that the new system will be applicable in those districts where the minimum number of active cases is more than one thousand.

3,121 cases found in more than 1.5 lakh testing

In the last 24 hours, 3,121 corona cases were confirmed in one lakh 96 thousand 502 tests in the state. The total number of active Covid cases in the state is eight thousand 224. The recovery rate of the state was recorded at 98.2 percent. In the last 24 hours, 47 people have defeated corona infection
