Court sets conditions for Sanjay Singh’s bail

New Delhi, 03 April: Special Judge Kaveri Baweja of Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court on Wednesday decided the bail conditions of Aam Aadmi Party Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Singh after he got bail from the Supreme Court. Sanjay Singh’s wife filled the bail bond for his bail.

The court said that Sanjay Singh will have to surrender his passport. The court said that Sanjay Singh will have to take permission from the court before going out of Delhi-NCR. The court said that Sanjay Singh will provide his mobile number to the investigating officer and will keep location sharing of mobile on and share it with the investigating officer.

The court said that as per the order of the Supreme Court, Sanjay Singh will be able to take part in political activities but will not comment on the excise scam. The court said that Sanjay Singh will not tamper with the evidence and he will have to cooperate in the investigation.

The Supreme Court had granted bail to Sanjay Singh on April 2. While granting bail, the bench headed by Justice Sanjeev Khanna had made it clear that Sanjay Singh can take part in political activities during the bail. The ED had arrested Sanjay Singh on October 4, after questioning him at his official residence.
