Gorakhpur, October 15: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reached the Mansarovar Ramlila site on Friday to participate in Dussehra festivities, where he applied โ€˜tilakโ€™ on the forehead of an artist playing the role of Lord Ram. During this, he appealed to the people to adopt the character of Lord Rama.

Yogi said that today is the festival of Vijayadashami. All over the country and wherever the citizen of India resides in the world, celebrates this festival with gaiety with their families in odd-even circumstances. Lord Ram had killed Ravana, a symbol of tyranny and oppression ages ago. Even today we see this incident through the act of Ramlila.

Yogi said that be it our personal life or public life, at every level, considering the ideal of God as a part of life, we should follow that path. Do not lose patience in difficult situations and face the challenge. One should always follow the path of truth.

He further said that in the medieval period, when the culture was in danger due to foreigners, then such events were started by Tulsidas to protect the national consciousness and culture. Ramlila is a powerful medium of cultural awakening which is giving a new inspiration in village-village. And with this inspiration we are all connected and said that the Gorakshpeeth is also discharging this tradition which is hundreds of years old.

Yogi added that justice always resides with truth and truth paves the way for righteousness. The work of construction of a grand temple of Lord Shri Ram in Ayodhya is going on on a war footing, which is the result of this path. Situations show that the leadership is right in the eyes of the people and if there is no flaw in their policy and intention, then success will definitely come. During this, he also appreciated the importance of AYUSH in the Corona period.
