CM Yogi reviews SIR progress in Azamgarh, gives key instructions

Azamgarh, December 11: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who arrived in the district two hours late than the scheduled time, reviewed the progress of the SIR (Special Intensive Revision) in the Collectorate auditorium.

During the meeting, he was briefed on the current status of the voter list correction and update work in the district.

Chief Minister gave clear instructions that the names of deceased and duplicate voters should be removed, incorrect entries should be corrected, and not a single genuine voter should be left out.

On Thursday, the Chief Minister arrived at the Police Lines at around 12 noon and arrived at the Collectorate auditorium at 12:08 pm, where Commissioner Vivek, DIG Sunil Kumar Singh, DM Ravindra Kumar, and SP Dr Anil Kumar were present.

The meeting discussed the progress of the SIR with organization officials.

Chief Minister directed that the voter list be completely correct and updated at the booth level. Voters who live outside should be contacted and their SIR should be filled out.

He directed the organization’s workers to go to the grassroots level and make one-on-one contacts to include those whose names were not on the list.

In the meeting that lasted for about 40 minutes, the Chief Minister comprehensively assessed the district’s voter list correction and the organization’s activities and ensured that all tasks are completed on time and error-free.
