Lucknow, December 25: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday paid homage to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee by offering floral tributes at the Atal ji’s statue at Lok Bhawan on his 101st birth anniversary.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Yogi said that today is the sacred birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Atal ji. Atal ji’s great personality is a source of inspiration. He dedicated his life to the development of the nation. Greetings to the people of the state on Good Governance Day.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that Atal ji is an inspiration for all of us. Atal ji has represented Uttar Pradesh in Parliament several times. Representing Lucknow, Atal ji, as Prime Minister, worked to take the country’s development forward with a new vision. This year is special. Atal ji’s birth centenary celebrations are being celebrated with great enthusiasm across the country, with poetry recitations and various programs focusing on his writings, journalism, speeches in Parliament and on international platforms.
Yogi said that it is a matter of pride for Uttar Pradesh that Atal ji’s ancestral home is Bateshwar in Agra district. He completed his higher education in Kanpur district and began his public life in Balrampur district. He represented Uttar Pradesh for the longest time in the country’s Parliament. His towering personality provides new inspiration to the countrymen.
Yogi said that to keep Atal ji’s memory alive, the double-engine government has constructed a National Inspiration Site in Lucknow to continue the massive flow of inspiration, which will be dedicated to the nation by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
