Lucknow, October 24: Uttar Pradesh is far ahead of other states in the corona vaccination drive. The state has set an example before other states by administering maximum inoculation.

Seeing the success of cluster approach in villages, once again the state government is going to start Cluster Approach 2.0. To speed up the second dose of vaccination, the currently implemented vaccination arrangements, fixed booth cluster approach, mega vaccination day, will continue to be applicable as before.

As per the instructions of CM Yogi Adityanath, rapid vaccination is being carried out under a simple strategy. Cluster approach was implemented across the state with the aim to provide vaccine cover to the people of the state at the earliest. Under which till October 19, about 64 percent people in the state have been given the first dose of the vaccine and 19 percent people have been given the second dose.

In the state, giving preference to second dose vaccination, 100% vaccination will be done. The work of applying the second dose under the cluster model will be done in the villages and localities where the first dose was successfully done through the cluster model.

Cluster model-2 will start from November 1

In order to achieve the target of first and second doses of vaccination, now special attention will be given to rural areas. To increase the speed of vaccination in rural areas, vaccination will be done by dividing the villages into three categories.

Like, in the Gram Panchayat where the first dose has been given completely to the villagers, the process of giving the second dose will be started. Not only will this, along with giving the name of “Pratham dose santript gram” to that village, the village head also be honoured there.

At the same time, the village that completes both the doses will be called as Covid safe village. A cluster model action plan will be prepared by the Health Department at the block level with the help of participating organizations (WHO, UNICEF and others), giving priority to the villages.

Similarly, mobilizers (ASHA, Anganwadi, Link Workers) working with the vaccination team in the state will identify the people who have missed vaccination in the area on the vaccination day. Communicating with such people will be encouraged for vaccination. For those who have not been vaccinated in urban areas, a fixed COVID vaccination session will be conducted from 8 am to 10 pm. Teams will work in two shifts in it.

UP became top in vaccination by adopting special strategy

India has presented an example to the world by giving 1 billionth free vaccine doses. Uttar Pradesh has played an important role in this. The Chief Minister of the state, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, from the very beginning laid special emphasis on the vaccination campaign as a strong weapon in dealing with the corona epidemic. Uttar Pradesh, the most populous state, has given the maximum dose of vaccine in a short time, leaving behind other states of the country. In UP with a population of 24 crores, over 12 crore 54 lakh vaccinations have been done so far. More than nine crore 58 lakh first doses and more than two crore 95 lakh second doses have been given.
