Central Intelligence Dept asks UP Police to be alerted ahead of I-Day

Lucknow, August 06: On the occasion of Independence Day (National Festival) on August 15, the Central Intelligence Department has asked the Uttar Pradesh Police to be alert regarding terrorist incidents and farmers’ agitation.

In this regard, Additional Director General (ADG) Law and Order Prashant Kumar said that taking cognizance of the inputs received from the intelligence department, instructions have been given for vigilance across the state.

If sources are to be believed, intelligence agencies have said about the farmers sitting on ‘dharna’ in the farmers’ agitation that on the lines of January 26, all these farmers are likely to move to Delhi or even Lucknow.

The intelligence department has also warned to maintain a vigilant and tight security system regarding the terrorist incident.
