Ayodhya, December 13: The Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar, along with his family, visited the temples of Ayodhya, including Shri Ram Janmabhoomi, and cast his vote in the Saryu River on Saturday.
After landing at Maharishi Valmiki International Airport, the Chief Election Commissioner reached the Ram Temple and took blessings by visiting Shri Ram Lalla, Ram Darbar, and Bajrang Bali at Hanumangarhi.
He also visited and worshipped at Dashrath Mahal and Kanak Bhawan and took a cruise on the Saryu River. At the Ram Temple, Ram Mandir Trust General Secretary Champat Rai gave him a detailed overview of the construction work. He was welcomed at the Maharishi Valmiki International Airport by Chief Election Commissioner Rajesh Kumar, IG Praveen Kumar, DM Nikhil Tikaram Funde, SSP Dr Gaurav Grover, and CDO Krishna Kumar Singh, along with other administration and police officials.
He was the central government’s representative present during the first meeting of the Ram Temple Trust in Ayodhya in February 2020.ย
