CBSE 10th-12th exams from May 4, Practical exams from March 1, results on July 15

New Delhi, 31 December: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) class 10th and 12th examinations will start from May 4 till June 10. The board will announce the result by July 15. CBSE will also release the exam timetable soon.

The Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank on Thursday announced the 10th and 12th grade examination schedule of the academic session 2020-21, ending the uncertainties of millions of students across the country who took the board examinations next year.

He said that from March 1, the practical examinations (practical) will start while on normal days between January 1 to 15 students have their practice.

After this, there are board examinations from February 15 to mid March but in the current environment in the light of coronavirus pandemic, the government has decided that the CBSE examinations will be conducted from May 4 to 10 June. After this, the result will probably be declared by July 15.

Teachers worked hard and adopted new techniques and methods of teaching

Declaring the dates of the examinations, the Union Minister said, as you all know, students, teachers and schools are facing an unprecedented and uncertain situation due to the Covid-19 pandemic. In the current session all the teachers have worked tirelessly to ensure that the students do not face any difficulty in studies. The school management and the principals immediately after the lockdown ensured that classes continued without interruption and teachers provided all possible assistance to the students in the teaching process.

โ€œThe teachers worked hard and adopted new techniques and methods of teaching. Such a change would hardly have been seen anywhere. PM e-learning program was also started by the government to provide a platform and content for learning through digital medium,โ€ He said.

CBSE examinations to be conducted with similar proficiency like JEE and NEET

Minister said that by following the principle of ‘Safety with Education’, CBSE will adopt various measures for the safety and security of every student. Let me assure you that the board examinations will be conducted with equal efficiency like JEE and NEET examinations. In order to ensure a conducive environment for the students at the time of examinations by CBSE, all necessary steps will be taken to ensure that students do not get affected due to the difference in basic education facilities.

Will get 4 months to prepare for the exam

Nishank said, “I assure you that CBSE will provide all assistance to the students and school by conducting written and practical examinations to evaluate the students. In this order, about 4 months time for preparing for the examinations and students will be available for schools. CBSE has also decided that this year, the last date for conducting the practical examinations will be equal to the last date of the written tests of the concerned class and it has also been decided that more for the upcoming exams Examination centers will be made so that students can have easy access to the examination centers.
