Cases of new UK strain of Covid-19 jumped to 114 in India

New Delhi, 15 January: In the country, the number of infected people has increased to 114 after the confirmation of new strain of coronavirus disease in five patients on Friday.

This highly contagious variant of the coronavirus was first reported in Britain, which is 70 percent more infectious than the normal virus.

Britain has enforced a lockdown in view of this. Flights from the UK to India have been started, but all passengers arriving from the UK in Delhi have been made compulsory to stay in the Institutional Quarantine Center for seven days.
