Yogi government will make ‘business correspondents’ to Scheduled Caste youth

Lucknow, 02 January :  Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given the New Year gift to the unemployed youth of the scheduled castes. Under this, the Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation is going to make the economically weaker people of Scheduled Castes business correspondents. The president of the corporation, Dr. Lalji Prasad Nirmal has appealed to the unemployed youth of this caste to come forward for the new scheme to be launched in the new year.

Decision to implement in all districts in next financial year

He said in a press conference held on Thursday at the VVIP Guest House in the capital that the government is doing everything possible for the economic upliftment of scheduled castes. Under this scheme, 500 youth unemployed people of the state will be linked with self-employment in the new year. This scheme will be implemented in all districts in the next financial year. Priority will be given to 100 people out of the cleaners and their dependents identified under MS Act 2013.

Appeal to unemployed youth to set up business

Dr. Nirmal has appealed to the unemployed youth from all over the state to set up business and start employment. He has said that under this scheme, business correspondents will be given interest-free financial assistance to buy computers, hardware-software, a finger print machine, swapping machine and inverters.

Business correspondents will make the work of banks easier

Business correspondents will act as authorized agents of nationalized banks. For this, an amount of Rs 15,000 will be deposited by the concerned bank from the business correspondent as security. Within the limit of deposit amount, business correspondents will be able to provide banking facility to customers in nationalized banks like savings account, recurring deposit account, farmer credit card, enrollment card, ID card, deposit and withdraw money, transfer money online, etc. Business correspondents will be aware of many schemes of the Central and State Government. For this, they will also be trained. Business correspondents will prove to be helpful in the role of a Dalit friend by knowing all the schemes of the Scheduled Castes.

Deen Dayal Upadhyay Swarozgar Yojana is proving helpful

He said that up to Rs 15 lakh projects under the Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Swarozgar Yojana have already been run to connect the weaker sections of Scheduled Castes in Uttar Pradesh. In this, financial assistance is being given to start animal husbandry, dairy industry, food and seed shops, beekeeping, tea stalls, tent houses, readymade garment shops, cosmetic shops and traffic sector schemes. Under this scheme, in the last 2 years, 51 thousand people have been linked with self-employment by the corporation and they have been funded 5503.43 lakh.

1389 villages selected under Pradhan Mantri Adarsh ​​Gram Yojana

The Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation is working for the overall development of these sections along with the economic empowerment of the scheduled classes. Under this, 1389 scheduled caste dominated villages have been selected under the Pradhan Mantri Adarsh ​​Gram Yojana in the state. These villages are provided with pure drinking water, liquid and solid waste disposal facilities, permanent toilets in Anganwadi and schools, construction of Anganwadi, construction of link roads, solar lights and street lights as well as government housing and These villages will be covered by the toilet scheme, old age and widow pension scheme.
