Bihar passenger dies after his health deteriorates in train in UP

Auraiya, January 31: A passenger suddenly fell ill on Saturday morning on the special clone express train going from Barauni Junction to New Delhi. Upon receiving the information, the train was stopped on platform number three of Achalda railway station in Auraiya, Uttar Pradesh, on the instructions of Railway Control.

Meanwhile, the passenger was taken by ambulance to the Community Health Center (CHC) in Achalda, where doctors declared him dead.

The deceased has been identified as Dastagir (53), son of Abdul Aziz, a resident of Hayatpur Bharwara village in Darbhanga, Bihar. He was travelling to New Delhi with his wife Bilkis. His health suddenly deteriorated while travelling near Muzaffarpur Junction at around 9:40 am on Saturday.

His wife Bilkis reported the matter to the railway helpline number. After this, on the instructions of the Railway Control, the station master stopped the train at Achhalda station. RPF Head Constable Rampreet Singh and Satyendra Singh, who were present on the spot, immediately arranged for an ambulance and sent the passenger to the CHC. Doctor Gaurav Kumar, who was on duty there, declared the passenger Dastagir dead after examination.

Achhalda Station Head Pankaj Mishra reached the spot and took the body in his custody. He told that the wife of the deceased refused to get the body post-mortem done. Apart from wife Bilkis, the deceased’s family includes nine-year-old son Anast.
