Bihar boat accident : Body of innocent child among 14 missing found on the river bank morning, search for the remaining 13 continues

Patna, 15 September: The NDRF and SDRF teams again started the rescue operation this morning in search of 14 people missing in the boat accident in the Bagmati River on Thursday morning in Madhurpatti-Bhatgaon village under the Gayaghat police station of Muzaffarpur district in Bihar.

During this time, the body of four-year-old Ajmat was found on the river bank near Pagadih School. There were about 34 people in this boat.

In this accident that took place at Madhurpatti Ghat in Beniwad OP area, 20 children were rescued with the help of local villagers. District Magistrate Pranav Kumar said that the operation was stopped due to darkness last night.

The rescue operation has been resumed today at 7 a.m. Right now, the body of only one child has been found. The search for the rest is ongoing. The Leader of Opposition in the Assembly, Vijay Sinha, will reach the spot by road today. He will also meet the families of the victims.

Jaynarayan Yadav’s daughter and niece, who were immersed in grief while standing on the banks of the river, are also missing.

Yadav says that Radha and his niece Sushmita went to school after having dinner at home. Suddenly, there was a noise that the boat sank. He ran towards the river. When we reached there, we found out that both boats had capsized and sunk. When Sushmita’s mother learned about this, she also ran towards the river. I reached there and jumped. Luckily, the villagers saved him.
