Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan’s horror-comedy film ‘Bhoot Bangla’ continues to perform strongly at the box office. Released on April 17, the film has received positive response from moviegoers, which is clearly visible in its earnings. This blend of horror and comedy achieved a stronghold in the initial days and is now rapidly moving towards the ₹100 crore club.
The film grossed ₹12.25 crore on its first day after earning ₹3.75 crore from paid previews. Its earnings on the second day were ₹19 crore and on the third day it was ₹23 crore. Despite a slight decline in the week’s trading, it collected ₹6.75 crore on the fourth day and ₹7.65 crore on the fifth day. This brings the film’s total Indian net collection to ₹72.40 crore, while its worldwide collection has exceeded ₹117 crore.
The film also stars Wamiqa Gabbi, Tabu, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, and Asrani in pivotal roles. The story of “Bhoot Bangla” revolves around a cursed bungalow in Mangalpur and a mysterious demon named “Vadhusur.” Given the strong word-of-mouth, it is believed the film could easily join the ₹100 crore club in the coming days.
