Ayodhya to witness luxury cruise boat service soon

Lucknow, October 07: The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh is also going to promote river tourism in Ayodhya. Under this, there will soon be a cruise boat operating in the ancient Saryu River.

Similarly, Ramlila will also be showcased to tourists on this cruise boat and it will be identified as “Ramayana Cruise Tour”.

In connection with the operation of the “Ramayana Cruise Tour”, State Tourism Minister Neelkanth Tiwari held a meeting with senior officials of the department on Wednesday and directed to implement the scheme at the earliest.

A presentation was also made to the Minister by Messrs Nordic Cruise Lines during the meeting.

The tourism minister told that the Ramayana cruise tour in the Saryu river will be conducted at Naya Ghat-Guptar Ghat-Naya Ghat.

He informed that Shri Ramcharit Manas and Ramkatha Yatra will be shown on the cruise boat through film animation. Apart from this, a selfie point based on Ramayana period will also be constructed at the new ghat in Ayodhya.

 He informed that during the Ramayana cruise tour, passengers and tourists will be made to observe the evening Saryu Aarti. Along with this, they will also be served vegetarian meals.

 The Minister further informed that during today’s meeting, instructions were given to the officials that the irrigation and water leveling on the Saryu River should be made as soon as possible through the Irrigation Department.

In addition to Ayodhya, the Tourism Minister gave directions for cruise operations in Varanasi-Chunar-Markandeya Mahadev to expand the operation of cruise boat in Varanasi.

He also asked the officials to develop a tourism plan for integrated development there by developing Chunar Fort as a camping site.

Tiwari said that the availability of high level guides will be ensured for the convenience of tourists coming to Ayodhya.

For this, he instructed officers to train 100 local guides from November 01 to 10 by the Tourism Management Institute.

The minister said that this will create good employment opportunities in the Ayodhya Dham pilgrimage zone.

Today’s meeting was attended by Principal Secretary Tourism Mukesh Meshram, Secretary and Director General Tourism NG Ravi Kumar, Special Secretary Shivpal Singh, Joint Director Tourism Avinash Chandra Mishra and Director General Nordic Cruiseline Pvt Ltd Vikas Malavia
