Ayodhya: Ex-IAS S. Lakshminarayanan donates his life’s earnings to Shri Ram Trust

Ayodhya, 22 November: Retired bureaucrat of Madhya Pradesh cadre of 1970 batch S. Lakshminarayanan has gifted his entire earnings of his service period to Ramlala (infant form of Lord Shri Ram) in form of 151 kilogram Ramcharitmanas prepared at a cost of Rs 5 crores to be installed in front of the idol of Lord Ram at the time of consecration.

As per the Trust sources, each page of this epic with 10,902 verses will be made of ‘Tamrapatra’ (copper plate), which will be dipped in 24 carat gold. Gold studded letters will be written. This will require 140 kg copper and 7 kg gold. For this, ex-IAS Narayananan has decided to sell all his properties and empty his bank accounts.

Meanwhile, he has taken permission for this from Champat Rai, General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.

Lakshminarayanan has been the Home Secretary in the Central Government. Laxminarayan, a resident of Chennai, is a 1970 batch officer of Madhya Pradesh cadre, who currently lives in Delhi. Wife Saraswati is a housewife and daughter Priyadarshini is in America.

Lakshminarayanan had held various important positions in Madhya Pradesh government. He was included among the officers close to former Chief Minister Arjun Singh. After this he was associated with many private companies. He has also received Bharat Gaurav Award.
