Mumbai, January 16: Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma and Indian cricketer Virat Kohli are once again in the news for their real estate investments. The two have purchased two adjacent plots of land in Jirad village, Alibaug, near Mumbai, for a total value of โน37.86 crore. The two have jointly invested in this land, spanning approximately 5.1 acres.
According to reports, the deal was made with Sonali Amit Rajput, director of Sameera Land Assets Private Limited.
Data analytics firm CRI Matrix confirmed that the property was registered on January 13. A stamp duty of approximately โน2.27 crore was paid, while Virat Kohli’s brother Vikas Kohli completed the transaction formalities.
It is worth noting that this is not Anushka and Virat’s first investment in Alibaug. Earlier in 2022, the two purchased approximately 8 acres of land for โน19.24 crore, where they built their luxurious holiday home. Over the past few years, Alibaug has emerged as a favorite investment destination for celebrities, with many prominent figures investing in property there.
