Amit Shah proposes a ‘Tamil’ Prime Minister in the future

Chennai, June 11: Amit Shah, Union Home Minister and senior BJP leader, proposed on Sunday that a Tamil be appointed Prime Minister in the future, according to party sources here.

During his visit here, the BJP veteran and former national president delivered the remarks in a closed-door gathering of state party leaders.

Without going into specifics, insiders said he pushed for the position of Tamil PM in the near future. He was quoted as saying that such a chance had been missed twice before, and that he blamed the ruling DMK for it.

Shah also urged BJP officials to fight hard to win more than 20 seats in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections and to build booth committees.
