Chandigarh, 19 October: Haryana government has issued an order declaring holiday on October 21 in all government and private schools of the state. This decision has been taken in view of Group D examination.

The state government has again issued orders in this regard on Thursday. Earlier, in the orders issued on Wednesday night, holiday was announced by attaching the list of only 17 districts.

Meanwhile, there was a situation of doubt regarding this. It was not clear in the orders issued on Wednesday whether only those schools where examination centers have been set up will remain closed or the orders will apply to all schools.

Examination centers have been set up in 17 districts of the state for the Group D examination being conducted by the Haryana Staff Selection Commission. A total of 13 lakh 75 thousand candidates are participating in this examination.

In the fresh orders issued on Thursday, it has been made clear that due to Group D examination, all government and private schools of the state will remain closed on Saturday.

The government has made it clear that if needed, the holiday on Saturday can be compensated by organizing school on any government holiday in the coming days.

As per government orders, no teacher will come to school on Saturday except those who have been assigned duty in Group D examination.
