New Delhi, June 10: The All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) has appealed to the Ulema and Muslim intellectuals of the country to try to distance themselves from the debate on TV channels.

The board believes that these TV channels misuse Muslim Ulema and intellectuals to up their TRP and insult them and Islam religion by making them sit on their TV channel.

Therefore Muslim Ulema and intellectuals should stop going on TV debates and try to distance themselves from the intention of increasing the TRP of the channels.

Maulana Sajjad Nomani, the general secretary of the board, has said that Maulana Rabe Hasani Nadvi, the chairman of the board and all the vice-presidents Maulana Jalaluddin Umri, Maulana Arshad Madani, Maulana Shah Fakhruddin Ashraf, Maulana Saeed Ahmed Umri, Dr. Syed Ali Mohammad Naqvi unanimously agreed on this point. It is agreed that Muslim Ulema and intellectuals should stay away from the debates related to Muslims on TV channels.

The board believes that TV channels organize such debates to increase their TRP and use it by calling a Muslim in the panel. Therefore Muslim ulema intellectuals should try to distance themselves from the debates on TV channels.

He further said that the Muslim intellectuals and Ulema present there are being misused through the anchor present on the TV channel and their words are put in his mouth and he is forced to make false statements. This is done through TV anchor so that the TRP of his channel increases and maximum people try to see his channel.

Maulana added that in such a situation, efforts are made on TV channels to defame Muslims and Islam without any reason. Therefore Islam and Muslims should boycott TV channels to avoid slander and ruse.

He said that if Muslims strictly implement this, then very soon the unnecessary debate on TV channels will stop and the channels will also get an idea of โ€‹โ€‹their status.
