Srinagar, Aug 21: After the removal of article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, the first encounter of the Indian Army with terrorists took place in the valley. In this encounter at Baramulla in Jammu and Kashmir, army personnel killed a terrorist. However, an army soldier was martyred in this encounter. It is being told that the encounter is over now.

In fact, security forces were informed that two terrorists are hidden in the area. After which the army surrounded the area. During this time, the hidden terrorists started firing on the security forces. The Indian Army retaliated by a terrorist attack. At the same time, an army soldier also became a martyr.

Yesterday, a soldier of the Indian Army was martyred and four injured in a shootout by the Pakistani Army on the Line of Control. An official said that the Pakistani Rangers violated the ceasefire at around 11 am in Krishna Ghati sector of Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir. After which the Indian soldiers also fired back.

On August 5, Article 370, which gave special status to Jammu and Kashmir, was abrogated by the Narendra Modi government at the center and it was divided into two union territories.
