After 14 months, body of man who died in Saudi Arabia brought back

Shahjahanpur, 30 May: According to authorities, the body of a man who went to work in Saudi Arabia and died there was returned to India after 14 months and buried here on Monday evening. Mohammad Alam has travelled to Saudi Arabia’s Jeddah for business in 2013. He died on March 30 last year at Jeddah, according to Shahjahanpur Superintendent of Police S Anand.

Following that, Alam’s brother Aftab approached the police officer and expressed his desire for his brother’s body to be transported here.

Local Intelligence Unit employee Chandrbhan Singh was tasked with making contact with embassy authorities in order to assist the deceased’s brother, and the corpse was returned to India on Monday following a lengthy procedure spanning over a year, according to SP.
