Active cases of Covid-19 decreasing in Uttar Pradesh: Yogi Adityanath

Lucknow, October 02: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed to continue the effective action being taken in the state to ward off the coronavirus infection.

He said that after five weeks, the number of active corona patients in the state has come down to less than 50 thousand.

He has instructed to reduce the number of active patients further by taking better medical measures.

The Chief Minister directed to pay special attention in Lucknow, Kanpur Nagar, Meerut, Gorakhpur and Varanasi at a high level meeting at his government residence here on Friday.

Yogi said that by strengthening the medical system in these districts, the recovery rate of patients infected with corona should be increased.

He directed Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) Health and Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) Medical Education to maintain regular communication with the District Magistrates (DMs) and Chief Medical Officers (CMOs) of these districts and also do intensive monitoring of treatment arrangements of hospitals, medical colleges and medical institutions.

The Chief Minister said that surveillance, contact tracing and medical testing have an important role in controlling the infection of corona. Therefore, it should be ensured that all these activities continue to be conducted with full activeness in the state.

He said that the arrangements of Integrated Command and Control Center should be maintained smoothly.

CM ordered that 1.50 lakh Covid tests should be done daily in the state.

60 thousand tests should be done using RTPCR method.

The Chief Minister said that action should be taken to make people aware about the prevention of corona infection. Various publicity systems as well as public address systems (PAS) should be used for awareness.

He said that he will review the action of providing information to the people regarding rescue and traffic safety from Covid-19.

The Chief Minister, while spreading the e-Sanjeevani app widely, instructed more and more people to make the benefit of OPD online through it.

He said that through CM helpline, communication should be maintained with patients living in home isolation as well as patients undergoing treatment in hospitals.

The Chief Minister directed to ensure all necessary arrangements for the smooth conduct of the Civil Services Preliminary Examination of Union Public Service Commission to be held on October 04.

He said that the system of providing loans to eligible people through Self-Reliant India Package should be given more momentum.

The Chief Minister said that additional manpower should be deployed at paddy procurement centers, so that work at procurement centers can be completed in a quick manner. This will facilitate the farmers on one hand; on the other hand there will be no possibility of gathering in the present corona time block.
