Ayodhya: Woman bank manager commits suicide

Ayodhya, 30 October: A second bank manager posted in a branch of Punjab National Bank (PNB) has committed suicide in the room.

In the investigation of the police, a suicide note has been found from the room, in which the names of three people have been mentioned along with the Faizabad police officer.

Meanwhile, the police started probe into the matter by sending the body for post-mortem.

According to brother, 32-year-old Shraddha Gupta, a resident of Rajajipuram, Lucknow, had joined the main branch of PNB at Reedganj in the year 2015 as a clerk. After promotion, Shraddha was sent to the post of second manager in the branch of the bank located in Khawaspura of Ayodhya district.

“Shraddha had taken a room on rent in Vishnu and Company building opposite the bank. Here she lived alone from the beginning. Shraddha was second among four siblings,” brother informed.

Brother told that on Saturday when Shraddha was called to know her well-being, she did not pick up about 15-20 calls then he contacted the landlord and got it to know that she had committed suicide.

“Meanwhile, the officers of Aligarh police station, who reached the spot after getting information, broke the door and took out the body. During the search, a suicide note was recovered from the room, in which he has written that the cause of his death is Vivek Gupta, Ashish Tiwari (SSF Head Lucknow) and Anil Rawat of Faizabad Police Department.

“Police has sent the body for post-mortem and began investigation on the basis of suicide note. Action will be taken against whoever is guilty in this case,” the police said.
