Awanish Awasthi gets one-year extension as Yogi’s advisor

Lucknow, February 27: The tenure of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s advisor Awanish Kumar Awasthi has been extended for one year. An order to this effect has been issued.

After retiring from the post of Additional Chief Secretary, Awanish Kumar Awasthi was appointed as Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s advisor. After the completion of his tenure, the government has now again extended his tenure for one year.

This period is from March 1, 2026 to February 28, 2027. His tenure has been extended several times so far. It is noteworthy that Awanish Awasthi, a 1987 batch IAS officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre, retired on August 31, 2022.
