Bareilly police solves female event planner’s murder mystery after 11 days

Bareilly, January 23: The body of the 30-year-old female event manager, who was missing since January 12, was kidnapped and murdered, the accused buried the body in a pit about five feet deep in the forest of Rithora. has been recovered on Friday after 11 days, The police revealed this sensational murder.

The Police station in-charge (SHO) Dhananjay Pandey said today that Pooja, a resident of Mohalla Durganagar of the police station area, used to do event management work in weddings and parties. A young man, namely Vimal Kumar from Rithora was her partner in this work. On the afternoon of January 12th, Pooja left home to settle accounts with him, but did not return. Based on a family complaint, the police registered a missing person report and began an investigation. Footage from nearby CCTV cameras revealed the woman with the accused man on the day of the incident. The man was subsequently detained and questioned.

The SHO stated that during interrogation, the accused admitted to a dispute over a financial transaction. According to the accused, in a fit of rage, he strangled the woman to death with a muffler and buried her body in a forest. The body was recovered at the accused’s location and sent for post-mortem examination. Police are also investigating other aspects of the case.
