Lucknow, March 08: Around 380 million rupees of Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) are stuck in Yes Bank. Rajasekhar, managing director UPSRTC, has sent a letter to the concerned official of Yes Bank to withdraw these 380 million rupees.
A senior official of the UPSRTC headquarter apprised on Sunday that 38 crore rupees were stuck in Yes Bank due to the negligence of assistant regional manager (ARM) banking. This amount was deposited to purchase the new buses.
He said that a total fixed deposit (FD) of Rs 423 crore was made in Yes Bank. However, when a new MD of UPSRTC Rajasekhar took charge in July 2019, the misdeeds of middlemen came to surface. After this, Rs 385 crore was withdrawn from Yes Bank’s fixed deposit and later deposited in the nationalized bank. Despite this, Yes Bank finally had a fixed deposit of Rs 38 crore which is currently stuck.
An officer informed that the team of middlemen who did FDs in Yes Bank, had made this investment for the highest interest and for their own benefit, due to which such a huge amount is stuck in the bank.
He said that M D (UPSRTC) has already sent a letter to Yes Bank to withdraw left amount.
