Farrukhabad, 12 December: A woman Booth level Officer (BLO) driving two-wheeler was crushed to death by a speeding dumper coming from behind on Friday morning at the Qadri Gate area of ​​Farrukhabad district of Uttar Pradesh.
The BLO was dragged on the road for about 50 meters by the dumper. After this the BLO died. The dumper driver fled from the spot. The police have taken the dumper into custody. The family members are demanding the arrest of the driver.
Archana Singh (40), wife of Sanjeev Singh, a native of Gosarpur village in Mohammadabad police station, was riding her scooter toward Baghar on the Etawah-Bareilly highway on Friday. A dumper coming from behind struck her near GS Group College. After the accident, the dumper driver, instead of stopping, sped away, dragging Archana Singh, trapped beneath the dumper, for 50 meters, resulting in her tragic death.
Archana Singh worked as a teacher at the primary school in Mudgaon, Mohammadabad. Upon receiving the information, the deceased Archana’s family arrived at the scene. The dumper driver abandoned the dumper and entered JS Group College. The family members began a protest to apprehend the driver.
Additional Superintendent of Police Arun Kumar, SDM Sadar Rajnikant Pandey, CO City Aishwarya Upadhyay, Fatehgarh Police Station Head Ranvijay Singh, and Qadri Gate Police Station Head Kapil Kumar arrived at the scene and attempted to pacify the family. The family is demanding the arrest of the driver.
Additional Superintendent of Police Arun Kumar said that the driver will be arrested and strict action will be taken.
