Bareilly, November 12: Ahead of Samajwadi Party (SP) National President Akhilesh Yadav’s visit to Bareilly, political circles have become abuzz as All India Muslim Jamaat National President Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi Bareilvi has made a big statement accusing Akhilesh Yadav of ignoring Muslims.
The Maulana said that the foundation of the SP rests on the alliance of Muslims and Yadavs, therefore a Muslim should be made the CM face in the 2027 assembly elections.
The Maulana said that with the support of 20 percent Muslims and the Yadav community of Uttar Pradesh, Mulayam Singh Yadav became Chief Minister several times and Akhilesh Yadav also became Chief Minister once. But now the time has come for the SP to declare a Muslim as the CM face.
He demanded that Akhilesh Yadav explain how long his family members will continue to ride on the shoulders of Muslims to become Chief Ministers.
The Maulana alleged that despite Muslims constituting 20 percent of the population, the Samajwadi Party (SP) has consistently discriminated against them in ticket distribution, while castes with a mere two to five percent of the population have been given double the representation.
Taking a jab at former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, the Maulana said that going to a Muslim’s home and eating food cannot change the fate of an entire community. Today’s Muslims are aware and understand everything.
He warned that if Muslims do not receive tickets according to their population in the 2027 elections, there could be a rebellion within the Samajwadi Party.
