New Delhi, November 10: Following the blast at Delhi’s Red Fort, all security agencies are on alert, and teams from the Delhi Police’s Crime Branch and Special Branch have reached the spot. Teams from the National Security Guard (NSG) and the National Investigation Agency (NIA), along with the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL), have begun investigating all aspects of the case.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself has spoken with the Home Minister and other officials in this regard. Union Home Minister Amit Shah has also issued a statement on the blast, stating that he has spoken with the Delhi Police Commissioner. The matter will be investigated from all angles and the situation will be presented to the public.

The Home Minister stated that a Hyundai i20 car exploded at the Subhash Marg traffic signal near the Red Fort at 7:00 pm today. Some passersby were injured and some vehicles were damaged due to the explosion. There are also reports of some casualties in this incident.

He said that teams from the Delhi Crime Branch and Delhi Special Branch reached the spot within 10 minutes of receiving information about the blast. NSG and NIA teams, along with the FSL, have now launched a full investigation. Orders have been given to examine all nearby CCTV cameras. I have also spoken to the Delhi Police Commissioner and the Special Branch in-charge. The Delhi Police Commissioner and the Special Branch in-charge are present at the scene. We are considering all possibilities and will conduct a thorough investigation, taking all aspects into account. All possibilities will be investigated immediately, and we will present the results to the public.

He said, “I will also visit the scene soon and will also immediately go to the hospital.”

Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke with Home Minister Amit Shah to review the situation.

The Prime Minister said in an X-post, “My condolences to those who lost their loved ones in the explosion in Delhi this evening. I wish the injured a speedy recovery. Officials are providing assistance to the affected people. I reviewed the situation with Home Minister Amit Shah and other officials.”
