Jhansi, 30 September: The joint team of the Jhansi police and SWAT arrested two more accused of Arvind murder case in an encounter late on Monday night. Both were injured by police bullets and have been admitted to the hospital for first aid, police said.


SP City Preeti Singh said that police teams along with SWAT in-charge Jitendra Singh Takhar and the Sipri Bazar police station in-charge Vinod Mishra were conducting raids late last night to nab the absconding accused in the Arvind Yadav murder case that took place in broad daylight on September 8 in village Bhojla. Meanwhile, based on input, joint teams of SWAT and the Sipri police station gheroed the absconding accused near Bharari farm. Upon seeing the police teams, the criminals opened fire and fled. The police team chased them and returned fire in self-defense. During the operation, two criminals fell down after being shot in the leg. They were apprehended and interrogated.
The SP City stated that the two arrested accused have been identified as Rahul Yadav, son of Kailash Yadav, and Narendra alias Kallu Yadav, son of Munna, residents of village Bhojla. A reward of 25,000 rupees each had been announced by the SSP. The police team recovered two pistols, live and empty cartridges from their possession. Both injured accused have been admitted to the medical college for treatment.
It is noteworthy that Arvind Yadav was murdered in broad daylight in village Bhojla, in the Sipri Bazaar police station area, on September 8. Police action was underway against the named accused in this incident. So far, 16 accused have been arrested in this incident. Of these, 10 accused were arrested in the encounter, and all were injured by gunfire. Meanwhile, the main accused in this murder, Rinku Yadav, remains at large even after 22 days.
