SP MLAs raise Fatehpur tomb issue by shouting slogans at well of house

Lucknow, August 12: On the second day of the monsoon session of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly on Tuesday, the Samajwadi Party (SP) raised the issue of people vandalizing the mausoleum in Fatehpur and accused the government of being involved in it. The SP members in the House accused the government and came to the well and raised slogans.

After the Question Hour in the House, Leader of Opposition Mata Prasad Pandey raised the issue of breaking into the mausoleum in Fatehpur and vandalizing it and said that some people declared that this place belongs to Hindus. They will occupy it. Although the police had barricaded, the police force was insufficient. This government is working to spoil mutual harmony. The government wants to spoil the atmosphere of the state.

On this, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh Khanna said that the government machinery has no role in any way. The government denies this. In this case, an FIR has been registered against 10 people including 150 unidentified people. After the government’s reply came, the members of the Samajwadi Party came to the well and started raising anti-government slogans. On the other hand, amid the uproar, the Assembly Speaker completed the legislative work. Later, on the request of Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana, the SP members left the well after about 55 minutes and sat on their seats.

Earlier, on the second day of the UP Assembly Monsoon Session, the proceedings of the House began at 11 am on Tuesday. SP MLA Tribhuvan Dutt asked a question related to increasing the fixed wages of MNREGA. His question was answered by Minister of State Vijay Laxmi Gautam on behalf of the government. He said that in UP, wages of Rs 252 per day are being given. MNREGA is a centrally funded scheme. The wages of MNREGA are decided by the Central Government. The UP government does not have the right to decide. Our government has sent a proposal to the Center to increase the wages.

SP member Rakesh Kumar Verma raised a question related to the transfer of constables and the facilities being given to them. On this, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh Khanna on behalf of the government said that these people have ruined many institutions. Whatever be the compulsion, our demands should be met. Due to this, Kanpur, which is called Manchester, was ruined. Now these people want to ruin the force. Our government has provided many facilities for the constables.

During the proceedings in the House, the SP member Engineer Sachin Yadav raised a question related to the safety of journalists. On this, Suresh Khanna said that from independence till date, our party and governments have been respecting. Financial help was given to the journalists who died during Covid. The history-sheeter who killed journalist Bajpayee was somehow related to you people. However, he is no more now. He has reached the top.

Faheem Irfan asked a question related to Jal Shakti. On this, Minister Swatantra Dev said that swear and say that water is not coming to your village. On this, Faheem said that the roads dug for laying the pipeline have not been constructed. If any district of the west is completed, I will resign. On this, Swatantra Dev Singh said that this data has been given by the company which has been given the work. If it has given wrong information, then action will be taken against it. The work which is not completed will be completed.

On the question of law and order by SP member Pankaj Malik, Suresh Khanna said that for the first time this government got punishment in 100 days. Life imprisonment in 27 days in Bahraich. The decision came within 32 days in Sitapur. Thus, there are six cases in 2024 in which punishment was given within 100 days. In 2025, punishment was given in 11 cases. Forensic labs have been established in 12 divisions. Construction is underway in three. Labs will be set up in the remaining three divisions as soon as land is available. Apart from this, two mobile forensic labs have been made available in each district.

The House congratulated Captain Shubhanshu Shukla. The Parliamentary Affairs Minister placed a proposal in the House. MLA Neeraj Bora took it forward in detail. Captain Shubhanshu Shukla is a resident of Triveni Nagar, Lucknow. The Assembly Speaker said that the entire House congratulates Captain Shubhanshu Shukla. Along with this, the House congratulated former Speaker of UP Assembly Hriday Narayan Dixit on receiving the Padma Shri.
