Weatherman predicts heavy rainfall across Uttar Pradesh

Lucknow, July 1: Due to the advancement of monsoon in Uttar Pradesh, incessant rainfall is occuring in different parts. The weather became pleasant after the downpour on Tuesday in most of the districts of the state including the capital Lucknow, which gave great relief to the people from heat and humidity. This rain has also brought smiles on the faces of the farmers.

Senior meteorologist of Lucknow Meteorological Department, Atul Kumar Singh said that this rain is like nectar for Kharif crops like paddy, maize and pulses. The temperature has come down due to intermittent rain. He has predicted light to heavy rain in the state for the next three days.

He told that moderate rain occurred in Prayagraj today morning and afternoon, which continued till late evening. Due to this, the water level has increased in the Triveni Sangam including Ganga, Yamuna. However, there is no flood-like situation here right now. The danger mark of rivers here is 84.734 meters while the level of Ganga has reached 76.79 meters and Yamuna 75.62 meters. Seeing the water level rising rapidly in both the rivers, flood posts in Phaphamau and Naini are in alert mode.

In Kanpur too, it has been raining intermittently for the last 24 hours. Although it did not rain since Tuesday morning, but the weather remained pleasant.

According to the weather forecast received from the Meteorological Department of Chandrashekhar Agricultural and Technology University, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain locally with moderate strong winds, thunder and lightning due to light clouds in the district in the next five days. At the same time, the irrigation department said that the water level of Ganga has not yet reached near the warning point. But 17 thousand cusecs of water has been released from the Ganga Barrage. The district administration has alerted the flood posts. There was no rain

Moradabad experienced sultry and warm day on Tuesday. The maximum temperature of the district has been recorded at 32 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature at 27 degrees Celsius. Whereas a day before on Monday, five mm of rain was recorded. It had rained. Similarly, Bareilly is experiencing sunshine and humid heat throughout the day.

According to Singh, senior meteorologist of Lucknow Meteorological Department, the state’s meteorological department has predicted rain and thundershowers at many places in western and eastern UP in the next 24 hours. Along with heavy rain in 35 districts of UP, lightning alert has been issued in 65 districts. The meteorological department has asked people to be cautious while grazing cattle during rain in rural areas.

The weather department has issued an alert and forecast of rain with thunder and lightning in Banda, Chitrakoot, Kaushambi, Prayagraj, Fatehpur, Pratapgarh, Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Chandauli, Varanasi, Saint Ravidas Nagar, Jaunpur, Ghazipur, Farrukhabad, Kannauj, Kanpur Dehat, Kanpur Nagar, Unnao, Rae Bareli, Saharanpur, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Baghpat, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Hapur, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Mathura, Hathras, Kasganj, Etah, Agra, Firozabad, Mainpuri, Etawah, Auraiya, Bijnor, Amroha, Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Sambhal, Badaun, Jalaun, Hamirpur, Mahoba, Jhansi, Lalitpur and surrounding areas of UP.
