Inter-state gang of cyber frauds busted in Ghaziabad, 7 held

Ghaziabad, June 27: The Ghaziabad Police has busted an inter-state gang that involved in cyber fraud by making forged policies in the name of selling insurance policies and calling as representatives.

The Police has arrested seven members of the gang. 26 mobile phones, 06 cheque books, 03 passbooks, 14 ATM cards, 04 SIM cards, Mahindra Thar and XUV 300 car have been recovered from their possession. Along with this, one lakh 98 thousand rupees cash has been recovered while unveiling nine incidents in four states related to cyber fraud incidents worth Rs. 4.5 crore.

ADCP Law and Order Alok Priyadarshi told reporters on Friday that the Cyber โ€‹โ€‹Crime Police Station arrested Aman Agarwal, Rahul Yadav, Aftab Alam, Rahul Sharma, Deepak, Garvit Tyagi and Jagjit Singh, members of the interstate gang who committed cyber fraud by making fake policies in the name of selling insurance policies by calling on the phone as representatives of various insurance companies.

During police interrogation, accused Aman Agarwal told that he used to work in Hexer Company in Noida in the year 2021. This company was the authorized center for life policy and health insurance policy of various insurance policy companies Reliance, Bharti Hexa, Cigna TTK, HDFC and Bajaj. In which information related to the policy was given to the holders of life insurance and health insurance policies of these insurance policy companies. Rahul Sharma also worked with him in this company. After this, Aman and Rahul Sharma obtained the personal details of the policy holders of these insurance policy companies from the company.

He told that Nishant Tyagi alias Kaku, who was jailed a few days ago in a case of cyber fraud from Madhuban Bapudham police station in Nagpur, is a habitual offender of committing such frauds through call centers.

Priyadarshi told that the mobile phones, bank accounts and forged insurance policies found in the mobile phones recovered from these people have revealed a total of 9 incidents in four states. In which the cyber crime incident with Vijendra Kumar Patel of Manikpur police station, Pratapgarh, Hariom of Gursarai police station, Jhansi of Uttar Pradesh state, Pramod of Meghpur Padna police station, Jamnagar of Gujarat state, Hasmukh Bhai of Shola High Court police station, Ahmedabad, Mansukhbhai of Bachchu police station, Kutch East, Sindhu Shri TK of Sanjay Nagar police station, Bengaluru City of Karnataka state is registered on the NCRP portal.
