New Delhi, October 22: Oil marketing companies (OMCs) have made petrol cheaper by 5 paise and diesel by 6 paise per liter. OMCs cut the price of petrol and diesel for two consecutive days on Tuesday after the price stabilized. Petrol has become cheaper by Rs 1.39 per liter and diesel by Rs 1.38 per liter in the capital Delhi till October after this cut.

Petrol in the capital Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai on Tuesday cost Rs 73.22, Rs 78.83, Rs 75.87 and 76.04 respectively and diesel Rs 66.11, Rs 69.29, Rs 68.47 and Rs 69.83 per liter, according to the website of Indian Oil.
Whereas in Lucknow, the capital city of Lucknow, the price of petrol is 74.61/liter and diesel cost is 66.11/ liter.
