Kabul, 18 October: At least 62 people were killed and 60 injured in a twin blast at a mosque in Nangarhar province of Afghanistan on Friday during the Namaz.

According to news channel Tolo News, local authorities have confirmed both blasts. The injured have been rushed to a nearby hospital, but many are in critical condition which may increase the number of dead. Following the blasts, police have cordoned off the area and started an investigation.

Police said that the incident took place at around 2 am in the Jav Dara area of ​​Haseka Mayana district. However, no organization has claimed responsibility for this attack. It may be noted that the attacks took place two days after the suicide bombings at the police headquarters
