48.85% Covid-19 patients in 21-40 age bracket in UP

Lucknow, August 28: Due to massive awareness campaign regarding prevention from deadly disease Covid-19 in the state, the percentage of infection among the elderly is still less than that of the youth.

Of the total infection cases, 14.15 percent of the age group 0-20, 48.85 percent of the age group 21-40, 28.43 percent of the age group 41-60 and 8.57 percent of the age group above 60 are infected.

In the last twenty-four hours in the state, 5,447 new cases of corona have been reported, with this, the number of active cases has increased to 52,651.

At the same time, 1, 57,879 people have been sent back to their homes after being cured at various hospitals of the state.

On the other hand, 3,294 people have died due to Covid-19 infection in the state so far. At the same time, age group of 21-40 have become the maximum victims of this virus infection in the state.

1.22 lakh corona samples were tested on Thursday

State’s Additional Chief Secretary Medical and Health Amit Mohan Prasad said on Friday that a total of 1, 22,277 swab samples were tested on Thursday in various laboratories of the state. With this, a total of 52, 02,557 corona samples have been tested so far in the state.

26,270 people undergoing treatment in home isolation

He informed that out of the total infected patients in the state, 26,270 people are availing the facility of home isolation i.e. at home. At the same time, 2,327 people are admitted in various private hospitals, 244 patients in L-Plus semiped facility hotels and the rest are undergoing treatment in state government’s L-1, L-2 and L-3 hospitals.

16,715 samples tested through 3,038 pools

He said that 16,715 samples were tested through 3,038 pools on Thursday. Five samples per pool were tested through 2,733 pools, of which 254 pools reported positive. At the same time, ten samples were tested through 305 pools, of which 29 pool reports were positive.

62,800 Covid help desks set up in the state

A total of 62,800 ‘Covid Help Desk’ has been established in the state. Through them, nearly one million symptomatic people were identified. Oximeters and thermometers are available in these. Adequate availability of sanitizer has been ensured in all these units.
