44% reduction in active cases of corona in last 26 days in UP

Lucknow, October 13: The Uttar Pradesh has recorded a 44 percent decrease in active cases of novel coronavirus disease (Covid-19) infection in the last 26 days.

Expressing satisfaction on this, the Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given instructions to be careful and vigilant.

He said that furthering the process of unlocking, many other activities will also be started in the days to come. Therefore, people should be constantly aware about infection prevention and safety by making wide use of various media including public address system.

The Chief Minister said in a high level meeting at the Lok Bhawan here on Tuesday that people should be motivated and encouraged to fully follow the protocol of Covid-19.

He has instructed district-wise monitoring of recovery rate of corona.

The Chief Minister said that the recovery rate of corona in district Lucknow should be further improved. For this, by developing an effective strategy, strengthening of treatment system in SGPGI, KGMU and RMLIMS along with increase in testing work in the district.

Yogi directed the Additional Chief Secretary Health to ensure increase in recovery rate in the districts of Ayodhya, Varanasi and Sitapur.

The Chief Minister said that the active participation of all sections of the society should be ensured in the ‘Mission Shakti’ campaign to be started from the “Sharadiya Navratri” with a view to protecting women and girls.

“Programs regarding women safety should also be organized in business institutions and MSME units,” Yogi added.  

Instructing to give wide publicity to the programs to be organized under the campaign, he said that stickers etc. should also be put in this regard. Help line numbers should also be released under the campaign.

The Chief Minister said that on October 16, appointment letters will be distributed to more than 31 thousand assistant teachers under Basic Education Department. From October 17, the ‘Mission Shakti’ comprehensive awareness campaign will be inaugurated with a view to protect women and girls.

He instructed to organize programs on both dates in each district and to invite other public representatives including the minister in-charge of the district.

He said that all the concerned departments should present their respective action plans in relation to women safety program today.

The Chief Minister said that people representatives should also be associated with the state-wide special campaign in connection with the current cleanliness and sanitation. Under the campaign, work related to sanitation and sanitation in rural and urban areas should be done. The campaign activities should also be widely disseminated.

The Chief Minister has directed to ensure effective action to control the retail price of vegetables and pulses.

He told that while taking enforcement action, hoarding, profiteering and black marketing should be curbed effectively.
