4 detained in Ghaziabad for running illicit weapons manufacturing unit in UP

Lucknow, 26 July: The Special Task Force of the Uttar Pradesh Police announced four arrests on Wednesday for their alleged participation in the operation of an illegal weapons manufacturing in Ghaziabad.

The STF stated Shahfahad, Shadiq, Sivam, and Javed were apprehended on Tuesday night from the Madhuvan Bapudham police station area.

The STF team discovered one.30 bore and one.32 bore weapon, as well as 12 half-made.30 bore pistols, live cartridges, Rs 1.58 lakh cash, an SUV, and a bike from the scene. The group used to sell illegal firearms in western Uttar Pradesh, charging Rs 1 lakh for.30 handguns, according to the STF.

During questioning, the accused informed STF that their factory was registered in the name of SHR India Industries Ltd, which manufactured machinery components.

According to authorities, they were utilising the factory’s equipment to manufacture illegal weapons. According to them, a thorough investigation into the situation is ongoing.
