New Delhi, October 16: The countdown has now begun for the first test flight of the Mission Gagan spacecraft. The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) said on Monday that the Flight Test Vehicle Abort Mission (TVD-1) of Mission Gaganyan is scheduled for October 21 for the test flight.

ISRO told that this test flight will take place from Sriharikota between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. on October 21. ISRO will also check the effectiveness of the crew escape system through this test. This is a very important part of the ‘Gagan Yaan’ mission. With its help, India is planning to send unmanned and manned space missions by 2024.

It is noteworthy that Mission Gaganyan is an important manned space mission that has four phases. The first phase of the mission will be launched on October 21. Three more test flights to test the system will be TV-D2, TV-D3, and TV-D4.

ISRO had recently informed through one of its tweets that preparations are underway for the Flight Test Vehicle Abort Mission-1 (TV-D1), which demonstrates the performance of the Crew Escape System.
