1 Nation 1 Election: Many names including Amit Shah, Adhir Ranjan in the committee headed by ex Prez Kovind

New Delhi, 02 September (Hindustan Times). Many people including Home Minister Amit Shah and Congress leader in Lok Sabha Adhir Ranjan Choudhary have got a place in the high-level committee formed under the chairmanship of former President Ramnath Kovind.

This committee will explore the possibilities of ‘one nation, one election’. The Union Ministry of Law and Justice announced the formation of this committee on Saturday.

Other members of the committee include former Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad, former Chairman of the 15th Finance Commission NK Singh, former Lok Sabha Secretary General Subhash Kashyap, senior advocate Harish Salve and former Chief Vigilance Commissioner Sanjay Kothari.

Union Law and Justice Minister (Independent Charge) Arjun Ram Meghwal and Legal Affairs Secretary Niten Chandra will attend the meetings of the high-level committee as special invitees.
