Youth should put their energy in achieving the goal of ‘Viksit Bharat’ by 2047: Prez Murmu

Lucknow, November 28: President Droupadi Murmu today called upon the youth to put their energy with discipline and self-control to achieve the goal of developed India by the year 2047. Youth should strengthen the foundation of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat while accepting all the challenges including environmental imbalance being faced by the world.

President Murmu was addressing the Diamond Jubilee of Bharat Scouts and Guides and the closing ceremony of the 19th National Jamboree in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh on Friday.

On this occasion, President Murmu expressed her delight at attending this event attended by 35,000 youth and thanked the Governor and Chief Minister for ensuring all the necessary arrangements for the Jamboree. Discussing the ideals and objectives of the Scout Guides, she said that the youth from all corners of the country should take what they have learned here to their schools, colleges, villages, and communities, so that more and more youth can draw inspiration.

She added that the Government of India has launched numerous schemes and programs for youth development, health, education, and employment. Youth should join these programs and use their energy and discipline to achieve the goal of a developed India by 2047.

Appealing to the country’s youth, President Draupadi Murmu said that the world today faces numerous challenges, such as environmental imbalance, and that young people must come forward to address them. It is important to make the Jamboree plastic-free and environmentally friendly. It is better to live in harmony with nature.

In the ceremony, the Chief Minister of the state Yogi Adityanath praised the discipline, self-control and strength of the Scout Guides and said that the whole of Lucknow has witnessed the discipline of the Jamboree. Many types of cultural, literary and exciting programs were held here. He said that the successful organization of the Jamboree has reminded the people of the successful organization of the Mahakumbh held in Prayagraj earlier this year, in which crores of devotees from the country and abroad had come.

He appealed to the youth to work in accordance with the theme of the Jamboree, Young India, Strong India, and contribute to Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat.

Earlier, in her address, the Governor of the state Anandiben Patel said that the youth participating in this event should make service, discipline and patience their capital.

On this occasion, Dr Mahendra Singh, State President of the Bharat Scouts and Guides, Uttar Pradesh, provided a brief overview of the events. President Murmu and all the guests also released the Scouts and Guides magazine.

Guests were honored with insignia and ‘angavastram’

Dr Anil Kumar Jain, National President of the Bharat Scouts and Guides, welcomed the chief guest and guests and presented a report on the event. Dr Jain credited the success of the event to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, Brajesh Pathak, and Chief Commissioner of the Bharat Scouts and Guides, Uttar Pradesh, Prabhat Kumar, along with all officials, were present. The closing ceremony featured a captivating Bharat Scouts and Guides march past and cultural program. This Jamboree, held in Uttar Pradesh after 61 years, began on November 23 and attracted over 35,000 participants from India and abroad.
